Bible notes

No discussion of Frieda Gillette would be complete without mentioning her devotion to the Lord. There were several notebooks in the archives filled with notes on the Bible, discussing books such as Mark and Hebrews, the early church councils, and various other studies. A lot of the notes she took are fragments of key ideas and how she found connections throughout scripture.

Bible Notes (Book of Hebrews)

Bible Notes (Book of Mark)

For example, she has notes discussing where Christians were sheltered in the book of Acts, Paul and his disagreements with Barnabas, and Peter’s actions, so she was writing out the people, places, and things that could connect across Mark and Acts, as well as other books. This shows Gillette’s analytical mind attempting to find connections among the biblical texts. These notes span years of study and reflect her ongoing engagement with Scripture. Her focus on specific books, along with early church councils, shows both deep intellectual and spiritual commitment, which aligns with the history-driven woman she has proven herself to be in the other areas of her life.
